#109 Vintage Check Dishcloth – Maggie Weldon Maggies Crochet

Tuesday – April 19, 2011

This dishcloth was designed by my daughter Allison.  Allison by far, was the hardest person I ever taught to crochet!  If she could not learn something in 2 minutes she wanted nothing to do with it.  She would try and try and then end up throwing yarn and hook to the floor in frustration.

One day after I volunteered to teach crochet at our local library, Allison asked if she could help.  I told her she was not good enough.  That was all she needed for inspiration!  She crocheted night and day.  When the time came to teach the class I told her she was good enough and asked her if she wanted to help.  She said no!

Now Allison is creating some of the cutest designs for babies.  Just recently she made a Scrap Granny Jumper and a Lemon Drop Layette with a jumper for girls and overalls for boys.  These designs will be posted next month at MaggiesCrochet.com.

Allison is also a freelance set designer at a photography studio and part time business owner.  Through her store – NosillaV on Etsy she sells vintage clothing.  Here is a link: http://www.etsy.com/people/NosillaV

Thank you Allison for helping with the Dishcloth-a-Day Challenge.  I love you – mom.

Follow me onto dishcloth # 110 and the rest of the story…
