Size: About 6″ wide and 38″ long (excluding fringe)
Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn: Multicolor – 3½ oz, 195 yds (100 g, 175 m)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 7 dc = 2″; 4 dc rows = 2″
SCARF
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at short side, ch 23, dc in 3rd ch from hook (skipped ch count as first dc), [dc in next ch] across. (21 dc)
Rows 2-76: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, [dc in next dc] across.
At the end of Row 76, finish off and weave in ends.
FRINGE
Cut a piece of cardboard 5″ wide (length of fringe). Wind yarn loosely around the cardboard until full. Cut across one end. Repeat until you have enough strands of yarn.
Hold together 3 stands of yarn together; fold in half. Working across short ends of scarf, with wrong side of scarf facing and using a crochet hook, draw the folded end up through first st (Fig. 1) pull the loose ends through the folded end (Fig. 2); draw the knot up tightly. Repeat across, skipping 4 sts between tassels (5 tassels in fringe). Repeat Fringe on other side of scarf.
Lay flat on hard surface and trim ends.
