Skill: Easy
Size: 6” wide x 8” tall.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn; Pink (MC) – 1 ½ oz, 72 yd (42 g, 65 m); Small amount White (CC); Yarn Needle.
Crochet Hook: Size G-6 (4.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 8 sc and 7 rows = 2”.
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Special Stitches
Single Crochet Decrease: (sc dec): Draw up a lp in each of next 2 sts, yo and draw through all 3lps on hook.
Bodice
Row 1 (Right Side): With MC, ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. (15 sc)
Rows 2-8: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (15 sc)
Row 9 (Neck opening): Ch 1, turn, sc in next 4 sc, ch 7, skip next 7 sc, sc in last 4 sc.
Row 10: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 7 ch, sc in next 4 sc. (15 sc)
Rows 11-16: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (15 sc)
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across; fold Bodice in half with wrong sides together, so that Row 1 meets Row 17, working in unused lps of starting chain of Row 1, sc in each ch across; join with sl st to 1st sc of Row 17 (Armholes made). (30 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Skirt
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join CC with sc to 1st sc of Row 17, sc dec, (sc in next sc, sc dec) around; join with sl st to 1st sc. (20 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join MC with sc to any sc, 3 dc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 3 dc in next sc) around; join.
(10 3-dc groups)
Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 2 dc in same st as joining, skip next dc, sc in next dc, skip next dc, * 3 dc in next sc, skip next dc, sc in next dc, skip next dc; rep from * around; join with sl st to first dc.
Rnd 4: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, sc in same dc, skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc, skip next dc,* sc in next dc, skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc, skip next dc; rep from * around; join with sl st to 1st sc.
Rnds 5-10: Rep Rnds 3-4.
At end of Rnd 10, finish off and weave in eds.
Skirt Edging
With right side facing, join CC with sc in 2nd dc of any 3-dc group, skip next dc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next dc, * sc in next dc, skip next dc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next dc; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Armhole Edging
With right side facing, join CC with sc to bottom of Armhole, working in ends of Rows, * skip next Row, 5 dc in next Row, skip next Row, sc in next Row; rep from * around. Finish off and weave in ends. Rep for 2nd Armhole.
Neck Edging
With right side facing, join CC with sc to 1st skipped sc of Bodice Row 9, sc in each sc across; working in unused lps of ch-7, sc in each ch across; join with sl st to 1st sc, ch 12 (Hanger made), sl st in same st. Finish off and weave in ends.
