Other traditions associated with Memorial Day weekend include: shopping, family get-togethers, beach trips, fireworks and events like the Indianapolis 500 race which has been run since 1911 on Memorial Day. I tried several times to start this dishcloth but couldn’t get the required number of stitches in the chain 5 loop so I used a magic loop. It turned out really good. I made this dishcloth as a gift for a co-worker that was retiring. She love it.
