Skill: Easy
Size: About 7½” square
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Multicolor – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 yd); Cream – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 yd)
Crochet Hook: Size G-6 (4.25 mm)
Special Stitches
Front Post Double Crochet: (FPdc): Yo hook, insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated st, yo hook, pull up lp, [yo hook, pull through 2 lps] twice.
Unless noted otherwise, always skip the st behind the FPdc.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) With Multicolor, ch 29, dc in 5th ch from hook (skipped ch counts as first dc and ch 1), [ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch] across. (14 dc and 13 ch-1 sps)
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next ch-1 sp, [FPdc in next dc, hdc in next ch-1 sp] across to last dc, dc in last dc.
Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1, now and throughout), turn, skip next hdc, dc in next dc, [ch 1, skip next hdc, dc in next dc] across.
Rows 4-13: Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 13, finish off and weave in ends.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Cream with sl st in first dc of Row 13, ch 3, 2 dc in same dc, hdc in next ch-1 sp, [hdc in next dc, hdc in next ch-1 sp] across to last dc, 3 dc in last dc; * working in sides of rows, evenly hdc across *; working in unworked lps of starting ch, 3 dc in first ch, [hdc in next ch] across to last ch, 3 dc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.
