#175 Christmas Shells Crochet Dishcloth – Maggie Weldon Maggies Crochet

FRIDAY JUNE 24, 2011

Designer Carol Showers wrote: “This pattern began as a thread coaster for my crystal coasters, go that the glass and coaster would not stick together. I made the original in 1983. I revised this pattern several times and when I had it where I wanted it, I changed the last two rows and added the picots. You can make this with white cotton and it looks like a snowflake. I hope everyone enjoys making this one as much as I do. Now I’m going to revise and add rows to make placemats for Christmas. You can also use this as a table coaster for the Christmas dishes. If it’s made in cotton, it will not melt.”

Thank you Carol for joining the Dishcloth-A-Day Challenge.

Am forever grateful for this lovely pattern as I am in a coaster exchange at this time. I’m going to make this in cotton & use a size 6 or 7 steel hook.
