I was given one of those one-eye K-Tel hooks that was sold on TV some years ago and I thought, wow, this is neat! So with library card in hand, I was off. My first purchase was a collection of knitting needles and crochet hooks from a second hand store and some wonderful Red Heart Super Saver from S.S. Kresge’s in the one pound size. I was sure that I could make afghans for everyone with that yarn! They all got slippers that first year. I’m still learning today. I love finding new or forgotten techniques or stitches.

I am loving the daily dishcloths it gives me a chance to work on stitches I am not comfortable with before doing a big project.
I agree – I am having a blast and using up a lot of scraps! I did this one in mint and white & it turned out really pretty. I’m also using them weekly on my blog.. showing the pics and talking about them 🙂
