Designer Cathy Robbins wrote: “My grandmother and great-grandmother taught me to crochet when I would visit them in the summer as a little girl, and I’ve loved it ever since. It wasn’t until I was making an afghan for my youngest child (she is now 10) that I really started to explore my own creativity with stitches and color variations. Since then, it seems that I can’t stick to a pattern without deviating in some way, and I love creating my own designs. I haven’t sold any patterns yet, but that hasn’t dampened my desire to express myself through the textures and colors of crochet. I love it!”
“This pattern is inspired by the stitches used in the Textured Stripe Harvest Afghan by Tammy Hildebrand in the October 2009 issue of Crochet World magazine. I love the interplay of texture and color! It reminds me of a sunny day with fluffy clouds floating through the air.”
