Size:
About 11½” wide and 11” long

Materials:
Worsted Weight Cotton: Multicolor – 2 oz, 95 yd (56.7 g, 86 yd) (Sugar ‘n Cream – Baby Stripes)

Crochet Hook:
Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

Special Stitches

Shell:
(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st or sp indicated.

V-Stitch (v-st):
(dc, ch 1, dc) in same st or sp indicated.

Picot Shell (p-shell):
(3 dc, ch 3, sl st in last dc worked, 2 dc) in same st or sp indicated.

DISHCLOTH

Rnd 1:
(Right Side) Starting at center, ch 6, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in last ch; working in unused lps of starting ch on other side, sc in next 3 ch; join with sl st to first sc. (12 sc)

Rnd 2:
Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1, now and throughout), dc in same st as joining, ch 1, dc in next sc, ch 1, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, ch 1, dc in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc, ch 1, [(dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, ch 1, dc in next sc, ch 1] twice, skip next sc, dc in next sc, ch 1; join with sl st to first dc. (14 dc and 14 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 3:
Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in each dc and ch around; join with sl st to first sc. (28 sc)

Rnd 4:
Ch 4, working in both loops, dc in same st as joining, ch 1, * dc in next sc, ch 1, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, ch 1, [dc in next sc, ch 1] 3 times, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, ch 1, dc in next sc, ch 1, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, [ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc] twice, ch 1 skip next sc *, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, ch 1; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first dc. (30 dc and 30 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 5:
Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in each dc and ch around; join with sl st to first sc. (60 sc)

Rnd 6:
Ch 3, working in both loops, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same st as joining, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, skip 2 sc, [Shell in next sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc, skip next 2 sc] around; join with sl st to first dc. (10 Shells and 10 sc)

Rnd 7:
Sl st in next dc (center dc of 3-dc group), ch 4, dc in same dc, v-st in Shell, skip next dc, v-st in next dc, skip next (dc, sc, dc), [v-st in next dc, v-st in Shell, skip next dc, v-st in next dc, skip next (dc, sc, dc)] aound; join with sl st to first dc. (30 v-sts)

Rnd 8:
Sl st to ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, shell in next v-st, sc in next v-st, ch 2, [sc in next v-st, shell in next v-st, sc in next v-st, ch 2] around; join with sl st to first sc. (10 Shells and 20 sc)

Rnd 9:
Sl st in next 3 dc, sl st in shell-sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in Shell, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch-2 sp (between 2 sc), ch 3, [(sc, ch 2, sc) in next Shell, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch-2 sp (between 2 sc), ch 3] around; join. (20 dc and 20 sc)

Rnd 10:
Sl st to ch-2 sp (between 2 sc), ch 4, shell in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, [3 dc in next ch-2 sp (between 2 dc), ch 1, shell in next ch-2 sp, ch 1] around, ending with 2 dc in first ch-2 sp; join with sl st to first dc.

Rnd 11:
Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), [p-shell in Shell, ch 2, dc in next dc, v-st in next dc, dc in next dc, ch 2] around, omitting last dc on final repeat; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.

    I believe there is an error in Round 2. A (dc, ch 1, dc) is missing from the second side. When I added that in, the pattern worked out fine.
