Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” wide and 12” long.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: White – 2 oz, 100 yd (60 g, 92 m) (Village Yarn Craft Cotton)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Wrong Side) Ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 4, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch] across.
Row 2: (Right Side) Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), turn, [sc in next ch-4 lp, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-4 lp, sc in next ch-4 lp, ch 4] across to last ch-4 lp, sc in last ch-4 lp, ch 1, dc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, [ch 4, (sc, ch 4, sc) in next ch-3 lp, ch 4, sc in next ch-4] across, ending with ch 4, sc in last dc.
Rows 4-17: Rep Rows 2-3.
At the end of Row 17, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, ch 3 (counts as first dc), evenly dc around dishcloth; join with sl st to first dc. (Try get multiple of 4 dc.)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, [ch 4, skip next 3 dc, sc in next dc] around, ending with ch 2, skip last 3 dc, dc in first sc. (To form last ch-4 lp and position yarn for next round.)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (sc, ch 4, sc) in same lp, ch 4, [(sc, ch 4, sc) in next lp, ch 4] around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
