Special Stitch
Fpdc = Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front again around post of indicated stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, (yarn over and draw through 2 loops) twice.

Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across.
Rows 2-17: Ch 2, turn, Fpdc in each st across, hdc in top of beginning ch – 11 sts.
Rows 18-34: Change to B, repeat Row 2. Fasten off.
Front

Side Gusset (Make 2)
With C, ch 35.
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across.
Rows 2-4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc here and throughout), turn, hdc in each hdc across, turn – 34 hdc. Fasten off.
With C, ch 35.
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across.
Rows 2-4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc here and throughout), turn, hdc in each hdc across, turn – 34 hdc. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew one long edge of Top Panel to one long edge of Center Panel. Sew opposite long edge of Center Panel to one long edge of Bottom Panel.
With wrong sides together and using 2 strands of B held together and overhand stitch, sew one long edge of Bottom Gusset to first row of Back. Sew one long edge of each Side Gusset to side edges of Back. Sew short edges of Gussets together. Sew opposite long edges of Gusset to Front. Leave top edge unsewn.
Sew one long edge of Top Panel to one long edge of Center Panel. Sew opposite long edge of Center Panel to one long edge of Bottom Panel.
With wrong sides together and using 2 strands of B held together and overhand stitch, sew one long edge of Bottom Gusset to first row of Back. Sew one long edge of each Side Gusset to side edges of Back. Sew short edges of Gussets together. Sew opposite long edges of Gusset to Front. Leave top edge unsewn.
Handle Tabs
Mark top edge of Front and Back for placement of 4 purse handle rings.
Row 1: With right side facing, join B at right edge of where marked for purse handle rings, ch 1, hdc in next 3 sts.
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each hdc across – 4 hdc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Pull Tab through purse handle ring and sew opposite end to wrong side to secure purse handles along top edge of Purse. Weave in ends.
Mark top edge of Front and Back for placement of 4 purse handle rings.
Row 1: With right side facing, join B at right edge of where marked for purse handle rings, ch 1, hdc in next 3 sts.
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each hdc across – 4 hdc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Pull Tab through purse handle ring and sew opposite end to wrong side to secure purse handles along top edge of Purse. Weave in ends.
