Heart-to-Heart Pillow Trim Crochet Pattern

RED HEART® “Soft Yarn”: 1 ball each 9779 Berry A and 9522 Leaf B.
Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8].
Split-ring stitch marker, fiberfill, yarn needle, 18” x 18” pillow.
Heart is 4¼” across at widest part x 3” long. Band fits Pillows 18” across.
GAUGE: 17 sts = 4”; 16 rows = 4” in sc. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
HEART (Make 4)
With A, ch 17.
Round 1: 3 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 6 ch, skip next 2 ch, sc in next 6 ch, 3 sc in last ch; pivot to work in unused loops of beginning ch, sc in next 6 ch, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 space, sc in last 6 ch – 32 sc. Do not join but work in continuous rounds. Mark first st of round and move up each round.
Round 2: [2 Sc in next sc] 3 times, sc in next 5 sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, [2 sc in next sc] 3 times, sc in next 7 sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 space, sc in last 7 sc – 38 sc.
Round 3: [2 Sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 3 times, sc in next 4 sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 5 sc, [2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 3 times, sc in next 7 sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 space, sc in last 8 sc – 44 sc.
Round 4: Sc in next sc, [2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc] 3 times, sc in next 2 sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 4 sc, [2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc] 3 times, sc in next 8 sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 space, sc in last 9 sc – 50 sc.

Finishing
With wrong sides of 2 hearts held together, slip st through Round 5 of both layers until 1” remains open. Add fiberfill, slip st closed. Weave in ends. Repeat with remaining 2 hearts.

Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 12 sts.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc and in each dc across and in top of ch-3; turn.
Repeat Row 2 until Band is 30” long. Fasten off. Sew ends together and slip over pillow. Weave in ends.
With B, ch 14.
Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 12 sts.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc and in each dc across and in top of ch-3; turn.
Repeat Row 2 until Band is 30” long. Fasten off. Sew ends together and slip over pillow. Weave in ends.
Finishing
With B, ch until 8” long. Fasten off. Pinch center of band and tie chain around it. Attach a Heart to each end of chain.
