Picot: Ch 3, sl st in third ch from hook.
Shell: 5 dc in specified st.
SCARF
Ch 26.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in second ch from hook, *ch 3, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 3, skip next 2 ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * across; turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, shell in next sc, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, 3 dc in last sc; turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in center dc of shell, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc in top of ch-3; turn
Row 4: Ch 6, sc in next dc, shell in next sc, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, shell in next sc, sc in next dc, ch 3, dc in last sc; turn.

Top Border
With RS facing, join yarn with a slip st in first sc, ch 1, sc in first sc, *(2 dc, [picot] twice, 2 dc) in next dc **, sc in next hdc; repeat from * 3 times, ending last repeat at **, sc in last sc; fasten off.
Bottom Border
With RS facing working along opposite side of foundation ch, join yarn with a slip st in remaining loop of first ch, ch 1, sc in same ch, * (2 dc, [picot] twice, 2 dc) in next ch **, skip next 2 ch; repeat from * 3 times, ending last repeat at **, sc in last ch; fasten off. Weave in ends.
