RED HEART® Sport®: 1 skein each 846 Skipper Blue A, 230 Yellow B, and 912 Cherry Red C.

Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 5.5mm [US I–9].

Yarn needle.
  Scarf measures 5” (13 cm) x 60” (152 cm).
Gauge: 15 sts = 4” (10 cm) from point to point; 5 rows = 4” (10 cm) in pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Special Stitches

esc3tog (extended sc 3 sts together) = [draw up a loop in next stitch, yo and draw through 1 loop] 3 times, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

dc3tog = [yo and draw up a loop in next st, yo and draw through 2 loops] 3 times, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

Join with slip stitch = with next color make a slip knot and place on hook. With right side facing insert hook into first st, pull loop through st and loop on hook.

SCARF

With A, ch 212.

Row 1 (Right Side): 3 Sc in 3rd ch from hook, * sc in next 3 ch, [esc3tog] twice, sc in next 3 ch **, [3 sc in next ch] twice; repeat from * to last ch, end at **; 3 sc in last ch – 15 waves. Fasten off.

Row 2: With right side facing rejoin A with slip st in first st; ch 2 (does NOT count as st), 3 dc in same st, * dc in next 3 sts, [dc3tog] twice, dc in next 3 sts **, [3 dc in next st] twice; repeat from * to last st, end at **; 3 dc in last st. Fasten off.

Row 3: Repeat Row 2 with B (join in dc, NOT the ch-2).

Row 4: Repeat Row 2 with C.

Row 5: Repeat Row 2 with B.

Row 6: Repeat Row 2 with A.

Row 7: With right side facing, join A with slip st in first dc; ch 2, 3 sc in same dc, * sc in next 3 dc, [esc3tog] twice, sc in next 3 dc **, [3 sc in next dc] twice; repeat from * to last dc, end at **; 3 sc in last dc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
