Holiday Ripple Garland
Crochet a few rows of ripples to garnish your tree in home-crafted style. This clever idea can be done with neons, pastels, classic holiday red or even patriotic red, white and blue. The choice is yours!

- RED HEART® Super Saver®: 1 skein each of 316 Soft White A and 376 Burgundy B
- Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 5.5mm [US I-9]
- Yarn needle
GAUGE: 12 sts and 7 rows dc = 4” (10 cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
Each Garland measures 52” (132 cm) long x 2” (5 cm) wide.

Double crochet 2 together (dc2tog): Yarn over, insert hook in next dc, yarn over, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook, sk next ch-2 space, yarn over, insert hook in next dc, yarn over, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, draw through 3 loops on hook.

GARLAND (make 2)
With A, ch 163 loosely.
Row 1 (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook, *dc in each of next 5 ch, [dc2tog over next 2 ch] twice, dc in each of the next 5 ch, 2 dc in next ch**, 2 dc in next ch; repeat from * across, ending last repeat at **; turn – 10 repeats. Fasten off A, join B.
Row 2: With B, ch 3, dc in first st, *dc in each of the next 5 sts, [dc2tog over next 2 sts] twice, dc in each of the next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st**, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * across, ending last repeat at **, turn. Fasten off B, join A.
Row 3: With A, repeat Row 2.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
