Red Delicious Apple Dishcloth

Skill: Easy
Size: About 9” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: White – 1½ oz, 75 yds (45 g, 68 m); Red – 1 oz, 50 yd (30 g, 45 m); Green – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m); Brown – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m)(Sugar ‘n Cream)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
Dishcloth
Row 1: (Right Side) With White, ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across. (25 sc)
Rows 2-25: Ch 1, turn, working in sc, follow chart making necessary color changes with Red, Brown and Green.
Rows 26: With White, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
At the end of Row 26, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn, (right side facing), 3 sc in first sc, [sc in next sc] across to last sc, 3 sc in last sc, * working in sides of rows, sc in next 25 rows *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, [sc in next ch] across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; join with sl st to first sc. (108 sc) Remove lp from hook and keep on safety pin.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Green with sc to next sc, ch 3, [skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 3] around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, pick up White, ch 1, sc in same sc, ch 3, [working behind Green ch-3 lp, sc in skipped sc, ch 3, working in front of Green ch-3 lp, sc in skipped sc, ch 3] around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
