Ch 4, join with slip st to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, join with slip st to first sc.

Round 2: Ch 1, [sc, ch 1] in each sc around, join with slip st to first sc (6 sc).

Round 3: Ch 2 (counts as sc and ch-1), sc in same space, *[ch 1, sc] 2 times in each space around; repeat from * around, ch 1, join, slip st in next ch-space (12 sc).

Round 4: Ch 2 (counts as sc and ch-1), [sc in next ch- space, ch 1] around, join, slip st in next ch-space.

Round 5: Repeat Round 3 (24 sc).

Rounds 6-8: Repeat Round 4.

Round 9: Ch 2 (counts as sc and ch-1), sc in same space, *[ch 1, sc] in next 5 spaces, [ch 1, sc] 2 times in next space; repeat from * around, end ch 1, join, slip st in next ch-space (28 sc).

Rounds 10-13: Repeat Round 4.

Round 16: Ch 2 (counts as sc and ch-1), sc in same space, *[ch 1, sc] in next 6 spaces, [ch 1, sc] 2 times in next space; repeat from * around, end ch 1, join, slip st in next ch-space (32 sc).
