Size: About 33 inches in diameter without Fringe
Materials: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY “AUNT LYDIA’S” HEAVY RUG YARN: 6 skeins Black, 3 skeins each Light Yellow, Red and Turquoise, 2 skeins each Lilac, Dark Rose and Bronze Gold, 4 skeins Dark Green.
Note: Rug is worked using double strand of yarn throughout.
Crochet Hook: Size J-10 (6.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
TO CHANGE COLORS
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

RUG
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Green, ch 3, 8 sc in 3rd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc. (8 sc)
Rnds 2-3: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around; join. (16, 32 sc)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join. Finish off Green and weave in ends.
Note: Always start new color round in a different place so no joining shows on rug.
Rnd 5: With right side facing, join Black with sc to any sc, 2 sc in next sc (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around; join. Finish off Black and weave in ends. (48 sc)
Rnd 6: With right side facing, join Yellow with sc to any sc, (sc in next sc) around; join. Finish off and weave in ends. (48 sc)
Rnd 7: With right side facing, join Black with sc to any sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around; join. Finish off and weave in ends. (56 sc)

FRINGE
Wind all colors over a 5 inch cardboard, cut one end. Using 3 strands for each fringe, double in half and knot through each sc around entire rug arranging colors as desired.
