#345 Friendship Pineapple Greeting – Maggie Weldon Maggies Crochet

SUNDAY DECEMBER 11, 2011

Designer Doreen Dawson wrote: ” I’ve been crocheting since I started making chains at age 6! I’ve been a more avid crocheter since adulthood. My favorite items to make now are baby accessories, clothes and toys. I love crocheting amigurumis, stuffed animals and dolls. I’ve always liked the pineapple design since college when a friend gave me pineapple stationery. She told me it stood for our friendship. Some of my favorite crochet designs are the pineapple doily/thread patterns. I’ve never designed anything before and wasn’t sure I was up for it. Then your Sunday email mentioned it again and I thought I’d see how it worked out. Getting something out from your mind and into reality isn’t easy but I managed to make something close. J I think the pineapple dishcloth would make a nice addition as a hostess gift, a housewarming or to express friendship. Thank you for your website and all I’ve learned, and for your generosity too. I participated in your Santa Crochet-Along last year and got a Blue Ribbon at the county fair!”

Thank you Doreen for joining the Dishcloth-A-Day Challenge!

The Friendship Pineapple Crochet Dishcloth is now available in the Sunny Days Crochet Pattern Set.

Enjoy,

Maggie

Dear Maggies and all the wonderful crafties people we have out there. I just stumbled across the dishcloth for a day challenge last week, thus going back to the 1st one, and I said to myself how precious this challenge is for the simple crocheters like myself. I HONESTLY look forward to opening up my mail, and seeing what is in store for us today. It also comes at a time, when the weather is lousy and I suffer SAD, so thank you Maggies and all the wonderful crocheters we have. Thanks a WHOLE lot, asit helps me to start my day more enthusiactic.
