Skill: Beginner
Size: 5” across.
Materials: Yarn Needle; Worsted Weight Yarn; White (MC) – 7 yd (6 m); Green (CC) – 9 yd (8 m); Red 4 mm Pompoms (14); Craft or Hot Glue.
Crochet Hook: Size I-9 (5.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: Rnd 1 = 3” across.
Special Stitches
Picot: Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook.
Coaster
Rnd 1 (Right Side): With MC, ch 4, sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 13 dc in ring; join with sl st to first dc. (14 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each dc around; join with sl st in first dc. (28 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, join CC with sl st to any dc, * picot three times, sl st in same ch used in first picot (Holly Leaf made), sl st in next 2 sts of Rnd 2; rep from * around.
(14 Holly Leaves) Finish off and weave in ends.
Finishing
Glue Pompom to Coaster as shown in picture.
