Susan Bates® Crochet Hooks: 6mm [US J-10] and 8mm [US L-11]
Yarn needle
Special Stitches
Fsl (Front slip stitch) = with yarn in back and working in front loops only, insert the hook from the front to the back, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch and loop on hook.
Bsl (Back slip stitch) = with yarn in front and working in back loops only, insert the hook from the back to the front, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch and loop on hook.
picot = Ch 2, slip st in 2nd chain from hook.
CUFF (make 2)
Note: No chains are worked at the beginning of each row.
With smaller hook, ch 69 (81, 89).
Row 1 (right side): Slip st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn—68 (80, 88) sts.
Row 2: With larger hook, *2 Fsl, 2 Bsl; repeat from * to end of row, turn—34 (40, 44) Fsl and 34 (40, 44) Bsl.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 10” (25.5 cm) from beginning, end with a wrong side row.
Last Row (right side): *Fsl, picot, Fsl, 2 Bsl; repeat from * to end of row—17 (20, 22) picots. Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
With right sides together, sew side seam.
Weave in ends.
Insert into boot and fold over top.
