Stitch marker, yarn needle
Scarf measures 6” x 60”, (15 cm x 152.5 cm)
NOTE
Hat is worked in continuous rounds, working in back loops only of each st throughout.
Scarf is worked in front loops of only of each st throughout.
HAT
Ch 4, slip st to first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), work 11 dc into ring – 12 dc. Place marker for beginning of round.
Round 2: Working in back loops only throughout, 2 dc in each dc around – 24 dc.
Round 3: [2 dc in next st, dc in next dc] around – 36 dc.
Round 4: [2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 dc] around – 48 dc.
Round 5: [2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 dc] around – 60 dc.
For Large Size Only
Round 6: [2 dc in next st, dc in next 9 dc] around – 66 dc.
For All Sizes
Next Round: Dc in each dc around. Repeat last round until piece measures 6” [15cm] from beginning, end 3 sts before beginning marker, hdc in next st, sc in next st, slip st in last st. Fasten off.
SCARF
Ch 22.
Row 1: Working in front loops only, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across – 20 dc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in front loops only, sc in each st across.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across. Repeat last 2 rows until piece measures 60” [152.5cm], end with Row 2. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
