RED HEART Shimmer: 1 Skein each 1810 Royal A, 1715 Hot Pink B, and 1625 Lime C.Crochet Hook: 5.5mm [US I-9].Yarn needle.
Scarf is 5″ x 65″.
GAUGE: Motif = 5” across. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
SCARF
Motif 1
With A, ch 4; join with a slip st into a ring.
Round 1:
Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, [3 dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times; join – 12 dc.
Round 2:
Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 2 sts, (sc, ch 3, sc) all in same corner ch-2 space, * sc in next 3 sts, (sc, ch 3, sc) all in next corner space; repeat from * around; join – 5 sc each side.
Round 3:
Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3, skip next st, sc in next st, ch 3, (sc, ch 4, sc) all in next corner space, * ch 3, [skip next st, sc in next st, ch 3] 2 times; (sc, ch 4, sc) all in next corner; repeat from * around; hdc in 1st st to join and form last space – 3 ch-3 spaces each side.
Round 4:
Ch 1, sc in same space, [ch 3, * sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3; repeat from * to corner; (sc, ch 4, sc) all in corner] 4 times; join with a hdc – 4 ch-3 spaces each side.
Round 5:
Repeat Round 4 – 5 ch-3 spaces each side.
Round 6:
Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in same space, [ch 1, * (sc, ch 2, sc) all in next ch-3 space, ch 1; repeat from * to corner, (sc, ch 4, sc) all in corner] 4 times; ch 1; join with a slip st – 5 ch-2 spaces each side. Fasten off.
Motif 2
With B, work as for Motif 1 through Round 5.
Joining Round 6:
Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in same space, [ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch-3 space] 4 times; ch 1, in corner, sc, ch 2, drop loop from hook, draw loop through corresponding corner of finished square, replace loop on hook, ch 2, sc) all in corner – connected corner made; * ch 1, (sc, ch 1, drop loop, draw loop through corresponding ch-2 space, replace loop, ch 1, sc) all in next ch-3 space; repeat from * to next corner, ch 1, connected corner in next corner, [ch 1, * (sc, ch 2, sc), ch 1; repeat from * to next corner, (sc, ch 4, sc) all in corner] 2 times; ch 1; join – 1
side joined. Fasten off.
For remaining Motifs, repeat directions for Motif 2, working
Color Sequence [A, B, C] 4 times, then A one more time.
Weave in ends.
