RED HEART® “Super Saver®”: 4 skeins 995 Ocean.Crochet Hook: 4.5 mm [US G-7].

Yarn needle.
Blanket measures 33½” x 33½”.
GAUGE: Each Square = 5¼”. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.
SQUARE (Make 36)
Ch 4, slip st in first ch to form ring.
Round 1:
Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), work 15 dc in ring, slip st in top of beginning ch – 16 dc.
Round 2:
Ch 3, work 2 dc in same st, [ch 2, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next dc, 3 dc in next dc] 3 times, ch 2, skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, slip st in top of beginning ch – 8 ch-2 spaces.
Round 3:
Ch 3, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next dc] 3 times, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, slip st in top of beginning ch.
Round 4:
Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc] 3 times, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, slip st in top of beginning ch.
Round 5:
Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next dc for corner, dc in next 5 dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next 5 dc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next dc for corner, dc in next 5 dc] 3 times, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, slip st in top of beginning ch.
Fasten off.
BLANKET
Arrange Squares into 6 rows of 6 Squares each. Whip stitch Squares together.

With right side facing, join yarn with a slip st in corner ch-1 space, ch 5 (counts as dc and ch 2), [dc in same ch-1 space, ch 2] twice, *skip next 3 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, dc in next dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc] twice, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2; repeat from * around working [dc, ch 2] 3 times in Border corner ch-1 space, slip st in 3rd ch of beginning ch.
