Size: About 5 inches square
Materials: Size 10 Crochet Thread: White (200 yds) & Shaded Purples (120 yds).
Crochet Hook: Steel No. 7 (1.650 mm).
MESH SQUARE
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at bottom, with White, ch 50, dc in 8th st from hook, * ch 2, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across. (15 meshes)
Row 2: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2, now and throughout), turn, dc in next dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc; rep from * across.
Rows 3-15: Ch 5, turn, dc in next dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc; rep from * across.
At the end of Row 15, Finish off and weave in ends.
WIGGLES
Rnd 1: (Red lines on Grid) With right side facing, join Shaded Purples with sl st to any post around mid-center mesh of Mesh Square, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in same sp, work 4 dc over each remaining 3 posts around central sp.
Rnd 2: (Orange lines on Grid) Continuing in a straight line on the mesh, 4 dc in next post, working around that sp, 4 dc over each of remaining 2 posts, * working outwards from center, 4 dc over post, working around that sp, 4 dc over each of remaining 2 posts; rep from * twice, ch 2, join to mesh post intersection. Finish off Shaded Purples and weave in ends.
Rnds 3-4: With right side facing, using White continue as established, following the Yellow and Green lines on the grid.
At the end of Rnd 4, finish off White and weave in ends.
Rnds 5-6: With right side facing, using Shaded Purples, follow Light Blue and Dark Blue lines on grid.
At the end of Rnd 6, finish off Shaded Purples and weave in ends.
Rnds 7-8: With right side facing, using White, follow the Hot Pink and Brown lines on the grid.
At the end of Rnd 8, finish off White and weave in ends.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Shaded Purples with sl st to open corner mesh, ch 1, * (sc, hdc, dc, 3 tr, ch 1, 6 tr) in corner mesh sp, (sc, hdc, dc, 3 tr) in next 6 open meshes; rep from * around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
