Fringe
– Cut a piece of cardboard 10″ wide. Wind Scarlet loosely around the cardboard until full. Cut across one end.
– Hold together 2 stands of yarn; fold in half. Working in every other st and in each of the 3 corner sts, with wrong side of shawl facing and using a crochet hook, draw the folded end up through st and pull the loose ends and yarn tails through the folded end; draw the knot up tightly. Lay flat on hard surface and trim ends.
– * Take half of one group of fringe and half of next group of fringe, knot together ¾ inch from 1st row of knots, repeat all around, then repeat from * for another row of knots. Trim fringe evenly.
