Grapes Dishcloth

Skill: Easy to Intermediate
Size: About 10” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: White – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Purple – 1½ oz, 75 yd (45 g, 69 m); Small amount Light Green (Sugar ‘n Cream – White, Hot Purple)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
Gauge: 6 dc = 2″, 3 dc rows = 2″.
To Change Colors
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

Special Stitches
Cluster (cl): Keeping last lp of each dc on hook, work 3 dc in st or sp indicated, yo, pull through all 4 lps on hook.
Picot: Ch 5, sc in 5th ch from hook.
DISHCLOTH
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at top, with White, ch 28, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [sc in next ch] across. (27 sc)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, [dc in next sc] across. (27 dc)
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across. (27 sc)
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 10 sc, skip next 2 sc, 7 dc in next sc, skip next 2 sc, dc in next 11 dc. (29 dc)
Row 5: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 8 dc, skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 1) in next dc] 6 times, dc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 9 dc. (25 dc)
Row 6: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 5 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, skip next 2 dc, change to Purple, with Purple, [(cl, ch 1) in next ch-1 sp] 6 times, skip next 2 dc, with White, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, dc in next 6 dc. (16 dc, 6 cl)
Row 7: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 6 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, with Purple, [(cl, ch 1) in next ch-1 sp] 5 times, with White, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 7 dc. (18 dc, 5 cl)
Row 8: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 7 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, with Purple, [(cl, ch 1) in next ch-1 sp] 4 times, with White, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 8 dc. (20 dc, 4 cl)
Row 9: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 8 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, with Purple, [(cl, ch 1) in next ch-1 sp] 3 times, with White, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 9 dc. (22 dc, 3 cl)
Row 10: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 9 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, with Purple, [(cl, ch 1) in next ch-1 sp] twice, with White, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 10 dc. (24 dc, 2 cl)
Row 11: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 10 dc, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, with Purple, cl in next ch-1 sp, with White (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 11 dc. (26 dc, 1 cl) Finish off Purple and weave in ends.
Row 12: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 11 dc, dc in ch-1 sp, keeping last lp of each dc on hook, dc in next 3 sts, yo, draw through all lps on hook, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 12 dc. (27 dc)
Row 13: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across. (27 sc)
Row 14: Ch 3, turn, [dc in next sc] across. (27 dc)
Rnd 15: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across to last dc, 2 sc in last dc; * working in sides of rows, work 2 sc in each dc row and 1 sc in each sc row *; working in unused lps of starting ch, 2 sc in first ch, [sc in next ch] across to last ch, 2 sc in last ch; rep from * to * once, sc in next sc; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off White and weave in ends.
Edging
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join Purple with sc to last sc worked, ch 2, keeping last lp of each dc on hook, 2 dc in same sc, yo, pull through all lps on hook, ch 1, cl in same sc, ch 1, [skip next sc, (cl, ch 1) in next sc], 13 times, skip next sc [(cl, ch 1) twice in next sc, [skip next sc, (cl, ch 1) in next sc], 12 times, skip next sc [(cl, ch 1) twice in next sc, [skip next sc, (cl, ch 1) in next sc], 13 times, skip next sc [(cl, ch 1) twice in next sc, [skip next sc, (cl, ch 1) in next sc], 12 times; join with sl st to first cl. Finish off and weave in ends.
LEAVES
With Green, [picot] 5 times, sl st in 2nd picot made, sl st in first picot made (one leaf made); rep from * twice more. (3 Leaves) Finish off leaving long end.
– Using long end sew Leaf to top of Grapes (Row 4). Finish off and weave in ends.

i was trying to see how to do grapes now i h ave it and i can immagine now how to do a APPLE HERE IT WILL BE NEAT to have this one done im still working on my
flowers… i have made 64of them i need about eleven more… well im off to get things done HUGS ME
This one is gorgeous I made it to match the pineapple one #77. These two are for MY kitchen 🙂
