Skill: Easy
Size: About 7½” round.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton: Dark Purple – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) Light Purple – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) Variegated Green – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) White – ½ oz, 25 yd (15 g, 23 m) (Peaches & Crème – Orchid, Lavender Sachet, Spearmint Stripes, White)
Crochet Hook:Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Dark Purple, ch 6, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 2, 16 dc in ring; skip ch-2, join with sl st to first dc. (16 dc)
Rnd 2: [Ch 4, skip next dc, sl st in next dc] around; join with sl st to first sl st. (8 ch-4 lps) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, join Light Purple with sc to any ch-4 lp, ch 1, (dc, 2 tr, dc, ch 1, sc) in same lp, [sc, ch 1, dc, 2 tr, dc, ch 1, sc] in next ch-4 lp around; join with sl st to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends. (8 petals)
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join Green with sc in first tr of any petal, ch 1, sc in next tr, ch 2, dc in sp between petals, ch 2, [sc in next tr, ch 1, sc in next tr, ch 2, dc in space between petals, ch 2] around; join with sl st to first sc. (16 sc, 8 ch-1 sps and 16 ch-2 sps)
Rnd 5: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next dc, [(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-1 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next dc] around; join with sl st to first dc. (16 shells) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, join White with sc to any ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in sp between shells, ch 3, [sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sc in sp between shells, ch 3] around; join with sl st to first sc. (32 sc and 32 ch-3 sps)
Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 3, [sc in next sc, ch 3] around; join with sl st to first sc. (32 sc and 32 ch-3 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

This is really pretty! Beautifully done. Would make a beautiful foundation for an afghan too….. 😉
Color is so important to me in how a project turns out.Some beautiful patterns do not have as much appeal as others and it is all because of color.This is just my take on the subject.When I am admiring some work of others i think now why did I not think of those colors?
I am going to make this one for Christmas presents that I will give to the neighbors and friends at work. I also send something like this to family instead of a Christmas card
