Skill: Easy
Size: About 8” wide and 9½” long.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Purple – 2 oz, 100 yds (60 g, 92 m)(I Love This Cotton – Amethyst)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
Special Stitches
Puff Stitch (puff): In same st or sp indicated, [yo hook, insert hook, pull up a loop (to height of dc)] 3 times, yo and draw through all 7 loops on the hook.
DISHCLOTH:
Row 1: (Right Side) Ch 27, puff in 6th ch from hook (skipped 6 ch count as ch 2 and first dc), ch 1, puff in same ch, * ch 1, skip next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 1, skip next 2 ch, ( puff, ch 1, puff) in next ch; rep from * across, ending with ch 1, skip next 2 ch, dc in last ch. (4 puff-groups and 5 dc)
Rows 2-13: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn, (puff, ch 1, puff) in sp between puff sts, ch 1, dc in next dc, * ch 1, (puff, ch 1, puff) in next sp between puff sts, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * across. (4 puff-groups and 5 dc)
At the end of Row 13, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, do not turn (right side facing), * working in sides of rows, 2 sc in each dc row *; working in starting ch on other side, 3 sc in first ch, sc in next ch across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch; rep from * to *; working in last row, 3 sc in first dc, sc in each st and sp across to last dc, 3 sc in last dc; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, puff in same st as joining, ch 1, [skip next sc, puff in next sc, ch 1] around; join with sl st to top of first puff st. Finish off and weave in ends.
