This dishcloth was created using Lily Sugar’n Cream Twist Yarn for the background. I love the way it turned out – very country looking. Here is some information on the yarn:

Size: About 8½” square.
Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn:
Twists – 1.25 oz, 60 yds (35 g, 55 m)
Red – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 45 m)
(Sugar ‘n Cream – Barnyard Twists, Country Red)
Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)
JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
TO CHANGE COLORS
Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

Special Stitches
V-Stitch (v-st): (Dc, ch 2, dc) in same st or sp indicated.
Dishcloth
Row 1: (Right Side) With Twists, ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across. (25 sc)
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
Rows 4-23: Working in sc, follow chart making necessary color changes between Twists and Red.
Rows 24-26: With Twists, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across.
At the end of Row 26, DO NOT FINISH OFF.
Edging
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn, (right side facing), sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner and 24 sc across each side; join with sl st to first sc. (108 sc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Red in center sc of any 3-sc group, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch-1) (dc, ch 2, v-st) in same sc, * skip next 2 sc, (v-st in next sc, skip next 2 sc) 8 times, (v-st, ch 2, v-st) in center sc of 3-sc group; rep from * around, omitting last corner of final rep; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends. (40 v-sts)

Really love this one!
Now THIS one was challenging! It looks beautiful but was a little tricky getting the stitches to follow the chart. My heart is a little lopsided.. but recognizable 🙂
So the flip side ends up with strings going across the back of it???
