Size: Throw measures 44” x 53” (111.8cm x 134.6cm)
Heart measure 2 ½” x 2 ¾” (6.4cm x 7cm)
GAUGE: 12 dc = 4” (10cm); 8 rows = 5½” (14cm) with smaller hook. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.
SPECIAL STITCHES
V-st = Work (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st.
Shell = Work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated st.

With smaller hook and B, ch 140.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (beginning ch counts as first dc) and in next 10 ch, *skip next ch, V-st in next ch, skip next 2 ch, shell in next ch, skip next 2 ch, V-st in next ch, skip next ch, dc in next 12 ch; repeat from * 5 more times, turn—12 V-sts, 6 shells
