Purple Popcorn Afghan

Purple Popcorn Afghan

Crocheters know that popcorn is not just for eating! Popcorns have long been a traditional stitch in the art of crochet. They are fairly easy to create by working a multiple of stitches (usually double crochets) into the same stitch or space, removing the hook from the last stitch worked and then inserting the hook from front to back through the first stitch worked and then picking up the dropped loop and pulling it through the first stitch. The popcorn stitch is great for creating texture and dimension to afghan designs.
